Comic Wednesday: Upcoming Titles

Hello!

It’s been a bit of a busy week, and due to other commitments I didn’t get to my planned reading for this week’s Comic Wednesday so instead I decided to take a look at some of the titles that are coming out in the next few months that I’m really excited about. In the meantime, I have picked up volume 1 of a comic anthology created by the local art school which I’m excited to get into, and following on from the Masters of the Universe series on Netflix that I loved (the nostalgia was real) I am planning on diving into the comics in the near future.

Comics Wednesday: Barbaric #1 – Michael Moreci (Writer), Nathan Gooden (Illustrator)

Hello!

Welcome to another new – well rather, a revamped feature on the blog – Comics Wednesdays. To kick this feature off, I’m taking a look at Barbaric #1. This is an indie comic from Vault Comics, and I took one look at the cover and knew that I needed to read it.

Webcomic Wednesday: The Wastelands – Petitecreme

Hello!

So today, I am delighted to be kicking off one of the new features for the blog – Webcomic Wednesday. Its a format of storytelling that I’ve dipped into on and off over the last couple of years, and always wanted to find the time to write more, and now seemed like the perfect time to take that step. For this first one, I also wanted to take a look at a webcomic that has been on my periphery for a while, and that is The Wastelands.

“A world left empty from its Gods as the mortals struggle to continue living with poisoned lands, corrupted guardians and abandoned temples.

Following the lives of Rahu; a nomad who believes one god has cursed him, Kyror; the last prince of the Great Creator Goddess’ land and Amy; A young woman who doesn’t belong.

Will Amy find a way home? Will Rahu find the god that cursed him? Will Kyror discover what happened to his land and are the gods truly gone?”
