Blog Tour (Book Spotlight): The Witch, The Sword, and The Cursed Knights – Alexandria Rogers

Hello!

Belated but today I am delighted to be hosting a spotlight for The Witch, The Sword, and The Cursed Knights as part of the TBR & Beyond Blog Tour. You can find the schedule for the tour HERE, so please do check out the other stops on the tour and hopefully we can tempt you to pick up this wonderful book which is out in the world today!

Book Summary:

Twelve-year-old Ellie can’t help that she’s a witch, the most hated member of society. Determined to prove her worth and eschew her heritage, Ellie applies to the Fairy Godmother Academy—her golden ticket to societal acceptance. But Ellie’s dreams are squashed when she receives the dreaded draft letter to serve as a knight of King Arthur’s legendary Round Table. She can get out of the draft—but only if she saves a lost cause.

Enter Caedmon, a boy from Wisconsin struggling with the death of his best friend. He first dismisses the draft as ridiculous; magic can’t possibly exist. But when Merlin’s ancient magic foretells his family’s death if he doesn’t follow through, he travels to the knights’ castle, where he learns of a wicked curse leeching the knights of their power.

To break the curse, Ellie and Caedmon must pass a series of deathly trials and reforge the lost, shattered sword of Excalibur. And unless Ellie accepts her witch magic and Caedmon rises to become the knight he’s meant to be, they will both fail—and the world will fall to the same darkness that brought King Arthur and Camelot to ruin.

Hello!!

Today it is my pleasure to be hosting the Cover Reveal for No Song, But Silence by Jonathan Nevair. This is the final book in the Wind Tide Trilogy, and is due to be released from Shadow Spark Publishing on the 18th November 2021. Can the secrets of a lost philosophy break the cycle of vengeance?

The tide of justice ebbs. A mysterious and reclusive superpower threatens to extend its reach, colonizing new star systems for Wind energy and spreading a corrupt political empire. The People’s Army, once the hope for a new federation of allies in the Arm, has dwindled to a mere spectator in the fight for political control. Ailo’s role in its revolutionary fervor is over. The esoteric philosophy of the legendary Cin Quinti is her only concern now. But when an unimaginable threat sends a political shock wave through the Arm she must weigh the cost of self-preservation, hiding in the shadows as civilization falls to despotism and tyranny.

Light years away on Kol 2, a young librarian grows inspired by a mentor’s clandestine teachings. What he discovers with the newfound knowledge reveals a moral avalanche. The dubious and cruel political power corrupting his society must be exposed, but it will take a leap of faith to challenge an empire.

WIND TIDE: A nonstop thrill ride across an unstable galaxy, combining moral struggle with character-driven adventure.

Cover Reveal: Thunder, Blood & Goats (Tales of the Nine Worlds) – Lyra Wolf

Hello!

Today I am delighted to be part of the Storytellers on Tour Cover Reveal for Thunder, Blood and Goats by Lyra Wolf which is due for release on the 9th November 2021, and keep an eye out on the blog as I will be reviewing this as part of Norsevember.

Book Summary:

Killing one measly dragon wasn’t supposed to be a problem.

It seemed like a good choice, if not practically heroic, to join Thor on a quick mission to rid the realm of Alfheim of a minor dragon infestation. It all goes wrong when Thor insists on bringing the goats. And then it gets worse when Elénaril—an elf with an attitude and a crossbow—steps on the scene.

Loki finds her absolutely charming. And so does Odin. He craves Elénaril for his army in Valhalla. Loki sees this as a (second) chance to secure his place in Asgard and impress the gods.

He wants to show them he isn’t as bad as they say.

But if Loki does what Odin wishes, it might not necessarily prove he isn’t as bad as they say, but prove that he is.

Book Spotlight: Bloodlines (AUDIOBOOK RELEASE) – Peter Hartog

Hello!

Today is an excellent day because Bloodlines by Peter Hartog, and the first book in the Guardian of Empire City series is now out in Audiobook! This fantastic blend of science-fantasy and crime-thriller has rapidly become one of my favourite series, and you can check out my reviews of Bloodlines and the second book Pieces of Eight to see why I love them so much. Book Summary:

Those dark and terrible things from your nightmares are VERY real.

They walk among us, masquerading as your neighbor, your lover, even your friend. You see, Empire City is full of them…if you only know where to look. How do I know this? Well, for starters the name is Detective Tom Holliday. I work homicide for Special Crimes. My friends, what few I have, call me Doc.

And the other reason?

I’ve got magic of my own.

Welcome to Empire City, where magic and technology co-exist, and humanity endures behind walls of stone and spell-forged steel. A place where danger lurks around every street corner, and anything is possible.

When former hotshot homicide detective Tom “Doc” Holliday is recruited to join Special Crimes, he trades in his boring desk job for a second chance to do what he does best: hunt down killers.

And his first case doesn’t disappoint—a murdered woman with a bogus past, her body drained of blood, and two eyewitnesses wasted on the designer drug goldjoy claiming a vampire did it. Armed with a fickle clairvoyance and saddled with a team whose past is as checkered as his own, Holliday embarks upon an investigation through a dystopian landscape filled with bio-engineered vampires, interdimensional shadow parasites, and the magical masterminds behind it all.

But to solve this murder and safeguard his city, Holliday will have to uncover the truth behind an ancient shadowy conspiracy and confront a destiny he never wanted.
