Webcomic Wednesday: 10 Comics to Read in 2021

Hello,

I’m back with Webcomic Wednesday. I’m relatively new to web comics so I reached out to some of my Sunday D&D group who are much more aware of that scene to get some recommendations, and they had a lot, so today I am going to look at ten webcomics that I’m going to read and feature on these WW throughout the year.

December Wrap-up, January TBR and a Peek Beyond

Hello!

We did it, we survived 2020. I have to admit that 2021 doesn’t look so different at the moment, especially with what else happened last night at 11PM, but while we face an upward hike – I’m currently stuck at home and furloughed once more – I am optimistic. Life is too short to be any other way. And while 2020 was a hell year, it wasn’t without bright spots.

I started this blog and it has grown and gone much further than I ever imagined when I first started, I’ve made lots of friends through blogging, read lots of fantastic books and spent lots of wonderful hours under imaginary skies.

Ten of My Most Anticipated Sequels for 2021

Hello!

As promised here is my second post about some of my most anticipated reads for 2021. In this post I will be looking at sequels that are due to be released next year. Again this is not a comprehensive list, and I have also not included any that are part of the series I intend to read in 2021. The only downside is that many of these haven’t had cover reveals yet.

Ten of My Most Anticipated Releases for 2021

Hello!

Continuing to build up my TBR pile (or maybe it should be tower by this point), this is the first of two posts looking at some of my most anticipated books for 2021. This list is by no means comprehensive as I keep coming across new ones that have my inner dragon wanting to hoard, and I have listed them in no particular order. The only rule for this list is that they have to be either standalone books or the first book in a new series, while in the second post I will look at ten of my most anticipated sequels coming in 2021.

Twelve (well 14) Series I Want to Read in 2021

Hello!

With 2021 just around the corner (and how did that happen?) it’s time to look ahead to what I want to read next year. There’s a lot of books on that list – old and new – so I am breaking it down over a few posts, starting with this one: Twelve (or Fourteen) Fantasy series that I want to read in 2021. My plan is to read one of the twelve series for each month of the year, with those that are expecting a 2021 release planned for later in the year (marked with a *). I haven’t set a particular order that I will read these in, although I intend to start with Joe Abercrombie’s First Law series.

The other two series on the list are separate, because these are ones that I am going to tackle across the year just because the size of them and those series are:

Self-Published Fantasy Month TBR

Hello!

We’re days away from the start of September and the launch of Self-Published Fantasy month (Website| Twitter), so I thought that I would compile my TBR for the event.  It was hard to narrow down the ones I wanted to include as I have a large backlog of indie fantasy that I want to get too, and I keep adding more to the list, and I am hoping that I will be able to read a few more than the ones mentioned here throughout September but decided to keep them as bonuses and focus on this TBR.

However, in addition to these ten I will also be participating in blog tours for ‘The Skald’s Black Verse’ by Jordan Loyal Short and ‘The Jealousy of Jalice’ by Jesse Nolan Bailey so please keep an eye out for those tours.

July TBR

Hello!
Decided to try and be a little bit more organized about things for July, especially as  I am finally back at work on the 6th (which I am more excited for than I ever thought possible). I’m still working away on the IFA Summer challenge – and there will be more mini reviews up tomorrow – but as I am reading on a whim with regards to that one, which is fun, because I never really know what I am getting in to. So, this tbr is going to be from the tower (aka. bookshelves) of books that I have been meaning to get to for ages now.

At the moment I am currently reading:

  • The Burning God (The Poppy War #3) – R.F.Kuang (netgalley e-arc)
  • The Story of Silence – Alex Meyers (netgalley e-arc)
  • Warbreaker – Brandon Sanderson (audiobook)
  • The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock – Imogen Hermes Gowar (audiobook)
  • Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee – Dee Brown (audiobook)
  • Northern Wrath – Thilde Kold Holdt (netgalley e-arc)
  • The Bone Shard Daughter – Andrea Stewart (netgalley e-arc)
  • To Sleep in a Sea of Stars – Christopher Paolini (netgalley e-arc)
  • The House of Styx – Derek Künsken (netgalley e-arc)
  • Ashes of the Sun – Django Wexler (netgalley e-arc)
